Biography

Allex Seah Shoo Chin (Chinese: 謝守欽; born 21 May 1983) is a Malaysian politician, data analyst and engineer. He has served as Member of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Kesidang since May 2018, representing the Democratic Action Party (DAP), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition [1]. Prior to entering politics, he worked as a systems engineer and held the role of DAP Melaka organising secretary before his first electoral contest [2]. In the 2018 Malacca state election, Seah defeated Goh Leong San, a former DAP member who contested as an independent, and a Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate, to win the Kesidang seat for the first time [1].
